 Over the summer Tobie introduced me to the simple flash game "Death Worm" it's been over a month now since he introduced me to it and I have found myself addicted to it. Simply because of it's simplicity a new alternative to the traditional solitaire or minesweeper. Perfect to play if stressed, while waiting for something or just simply bored. Thanks Tobe for introducing me to this game!

After the hype of U2 3D showing at our local Imax theater. Rumors are now starting fly that indeed U2 will be here on October. The rumor reports that the person behind bringing them here is Manny V. Pangilinan's PLDT will shell out $3,000,000.00 to bring U2 to Manila this October. Hopefully the rumor is true it would really be a great concert

A recent conversation with a friend has once lead me again to ponder on human nature and our actions. My most recent thought is on how people in the world of business continues to try to enforce the mentality that what is business is business and what is personal is personal, but truth be told it is pretty impossible. I am sure people would agree with me when I say in order to have an efficient team, staff or partnership you need to establish a sort of personal relationship in order to gain the trust and loyalty of others. I have yet to meet someone and tell me that he/she has an efficient work force with no personal attachment with each other and everything is strictly professional, and when the time comes along where in you have to enforce the business is business mentality the person who is being affected or "victim" can not take it lightly. Why? you ask because a relationship is established and we all know that when A friendship is established you would never imagine that a friend would put money in front of you, but technically in that instance he is not your friend he is your boss. And this is where human nature would come in trough our emotions when it takes control and we then start to distance our self from this person because we can not accept what he has done to you even when you know that it was purely business nothing personal. Which leads me to my conclusion on this topic that the mentality on separating business from personal is another perfect concept like Communism, but what leads this concept to fail is the same way every perfect concept has prove to be either unsuccessful or out come is not as expected is because the people behind it or implementing it are humans and we all know that humans are not perfect and that is human nature.

I know this is a pretty late post knowing that a lot of people have already wrote about their memories of 2007. I have been wanting to do the same, but never found the right words to use and say about this past year. Then suddenly it hit me my while listening to music on my computer. The words that would describe this past year perfectly are in a Good Charlotte song titled "The World Is Black". Here is the lyrics.

Most of you may think this is just a nonsense "emo" post, but look at 2007 remember the love ones who left us this past year. Remember your problems especially the ones where you felt hopeless. Remember what happened over the world the conflicts, the wars, the suffering of people. Remember our fellow brothers and sisters who are less fortunate than us. For those religious people remember how you have questioned your god on problems.
I'm sure now you can agree with me that 2007 was not the best of years, and for some agree that it was a bad year. I now ask you to remember the good events of 2007. Remember the new friendships made. Remember your friends who were there for you at the times you needed them the most. Remember your family who will always be there for you even though you have problems with them. Remember the great events that happened. Remember the times that you felt on top of the world. I would like to thank everyone who made this past year better. I would like to thanks my friends who made me laugh. I would like to thank those who I got to know over this year. I would like to thank those who helped me start a new life. I would like to thank those who I could turn to during my problems. I would like to thank those who call me their friends. For those who read this post and were affected I ask you to do the same and tell the significant people in you life on how much they help you this year. Thank them for the wonderful things they have done for you. Now that the year is over let us forget all of the bad memories, but treasure the wonderful ones.

 I was looking at my friend Nina's album post with her pictures at Rome, and it reminder me of my trip to Europe. I then remembered that I have an unfinished photo album which had pictures of my trip. I then decided to finishes posting all of the pictures on that album, but before doing so. I had to look for the folder. Sadly I was not able to find the folder. Most likely it was because it was in my other hard drive which recently gave up. Then I realized that back up files are really important. I also thought about how useful multiply is and how it has been an avenue for me posting my photos and how it is sort of a back up folder to me. I did ponder on this thought a bit more and it hit me Multiply is a site that at any time could crash *knock on wood*. Which lead me to my next thought that the best way to ensure the protection of files is to burn it on a cd. But going back to my Europe pictures. I am sad that I lost these pictures, but on the bight side I know for sure that I have a back up cd for those pictures. My problem now is to find the cd. I wonder where I kept it.

In light of the recent explosion at Glorietta 2, the New Worlds Alliance
would like to announce that New Worlds 5: The 5th Philippine Science Fiction
and Fantasy Convention is proceeding as scheduled on October 27, 2007, at
the Glorietta Activity Center.
Ayala Malls assures all attendees that security will be tighter and the
safety of all mall patrons is their highest priority. As a result, please be
warned that all bags will be inspected. Please be ready to dismantle and
unwrap all costumes, props, gadgets and toys for inspection upon entry into
the mall.
Please leave all weapons and props which may be misconstrued as weapons at
home. All props which may be misconstrued as a weapon will be marked and
peace-bonded for everyone's safety and peace of mind. All such props must
remain in the activity area at all times.
The New Worlds Alliance requests all people who intend to attend the event
to comply with with these security regulations for a safe convention that
everyone will enjoy.

From July 9 to 15, there will be another celebration of fandom in New Worlds: Transformed, to be held at the Power Plant Mall at Rockwell. The New Worlds Alliance (NWA), an organization of fan groups focused primarily on fantasy, science fiction, horror and superheroes, will be holding exhibits and activities that showcase the various ways they show their love for their favorite shows, books and authors. Highlighting the event is the opening of the film adaptation of JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, a week before the release of the last book of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This is the power of fandom. Who else can dictate to large production outfits what movie to make next? Many of the recent box-office hits were either fantasy, such as Pirates of the Carribean and Shrek, or about superheroes like Spiderman and the Fantastic Four; all of these are highly successful franchises that have generated fans from all over. Many upcoming movies are from either the same or affiliated genres: Transformers, Harry Potter and Stardust. Look further down the road and you'll see offerings such as Batman, Star Trek and Wolverine. Hollywood, it seems, is tapping into what some call the Fandom Phenomenon: groups of people from widely different backgrounds coming together to celebrate the stories and characters they love. The local fans are no less passionate. The past five years have seen numerous events and conventions that serve as venues for fans to meet, greet, connect and celebrate. But what makes these events truly interesting are the fans themselves. These are people inspired by imagination and touched by creativity, who choose to let their respective fandoms shape their lives.
